Installing Airbox

A 'first-check' to see if what you want to do has been covered. If not - post a question in the yamaha fzr250 thread. Also - if you do something successfully, we would appreciate a short write up! If you have an addition to these "how-to's" you can post a reply. Note: only additions that add value to the topic will be retained - all others will be deleted.

Hi Trev,

here is the following info to try,

The mob that actually imported the bikes were from;

Queensland Motorcycle Wreckers
Slacks Creek, QLD 4127

p: (07) 3808 5844

Also try,

Brisbane Bike Wreckers
7 LOTUS ST W/GABBA
BRISBANE AUSTRALIA 4102
PHONE 61 07 33916811

Had a look on ebay as well mate, found a rear LHS plastic for you ( assuming it's a 3LN ) Hurry 2 days to go ! :

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/yamaha-1990-fzr- ... 20afb83b24

See if you can get some fairings from these sources, but Ive had a good look over the set of plastics Ive got,

Ive decided to use the blue rear plastics as they are in better condition, even though I have to fix some bracket holes still. The white set of rear plastics are damaged as well, but I think the rear left side of plastics are snapped off @ the front. Seems also the goose before me had glued the rear piece that goes over the tail light to the two rear sides. Ill post a pic of them up here when I can, if you want, to see if you can utilise any of it.

But I hope the above info helps! :D

Thanks mate, They are now called ozscooters, They did have the fairings in my style a while back, I might try BBW, I'm watching them and I hope they don't get too exxy, I would just like to get them in the color I already have to save on painting and decals.

It's actually not shown on the parts fiche. The two fat 90-deg fittings are breathers, normally open to atmosphere. Looks like someone decided they should be connected...

I don't know that it makes any difference - they're bowl breathers, no big deal.

Actually - strike that. Bowl breathers should be vented to atmosphere, not to other bowls. Pull the connecting pipe.
